Updates for students living on campus
Dear student,
As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve and decisions are being made in our community to prevent the spread of this illness, we are here to support you. We know that CU Boulder is your home and remaining on campus may be your only option right now.

At this time, your request to remain on campus until the end of your housing contract has been approved. Your health and safety is our top priority, and we want you to feel supported and informed as you continue your semester with us.

Below you will find important information and guidance for the rest of the semester:

  • If you begin to feel ill, are self-quarantined, are directed to isolate or choose to isolate, it is important that you report this to Residence Life immediately using this form. After completing the form, a university staff member will reach out to you to discuss expectations and meal accommodations, as it is critical that you avoid contact with others. During periods of self-quarantine and self-isolation, our maintenance staff will not enter your space to complete FixIt requests.
  • Please take a moment to visit your MyCULiving portal to verify and update your permanent home address and emergency contact information. Once on the homepage of the MyCULiving portal, click “Address Verification.”
  • To continue providing support and continuity of service, it is likely that the university will begin a process to relocate current residential students into specific residence halls and apartments for the remainder of the semester. More information will be provided soon about how this may impact you. Our intent is to minimize the impact to students, and we ask for your patience as we work through this process.
  • Community living presents unique challenges, and we encourage you to continue practicing self-care and good hygiene. Our staff will continue increased cleanings of highly touched surfaces throughout buildings. Please continue to wash your hands frequently for 20 seconds, cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your sleeve and practice social distancing by staying at least 6 feet away from others. Please provide this courtesy to our Housing Facilities team, who are working hard to clean our spaces, and remain 6 feet from them while they are in the halls.
  • Resident assistants, hall directors and residential safety officers remain on campus for your support and security. Campus policies and the Student Code of Conduct remain unchanged, and will continue to be enforced.
  • Ongoing changes in our campus and local community may result in alterations to future programming and services. We will continue to provide updates as modifications are made.
  • Beginning on Monday, March 30, the Community Center front desks in Buckingham, Will VIll North, Stearns Central, Kitt Central, WIllard, Baker, and Hallett will remain open 24 hours to support lockouts. All other Community Center front desks will shift operations to occur between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. RA’s will remain on duty overnight in all halls.
  • If you are on campus this week for spring break, you can find dining, Buff Bus and other information on the Housing and Dining website.
We are committed to supporting you through the remainder of your time on campus. If you have questions about living on campus, or no longer wish to remain in your on-campus assignment, please contact your hall director via email or phone or email studenthousing@colorado.edu.
